Cannonsburg Ski Area called to say they have had a cyclocross front wheel in their office since our cross race out there. If you lost it, email me to identify and claim.
Next week is the Kisscross season finale in Holland. Don’t forget we have a new venue for the Holland race this year. Window on the Water Front Park is directly north of Velo City Cycles. We will raffle off the Cannondale cross frame, Velocity USA wheels, Kenda Tires, Smiths and many other great prizes! The Curragh Restaurant next to Velo City Cycles will play host to the after party this year with a $5 soup and beer meal special. They can begin seating between 12-1pm but most of us attend after the A Race and the raffles. Mike will open up the bike shop about 3:30 for some great deals and season ending bike gear!
It is also you last chance to purchase some raffle tickets for the Bianchi San Jose frame and fork. All proceeds from the Bianchi raffle go to the WMMBA’s 50 in 5 Campaign to build more MTB trails in West Michigan, think Merrell, Luton, etc. Also last chance to get a Jack Kunnen Photography 2013 Calendar for $20. Makes a great Christmas gift!
Here is the registration form: Kisscross Reg Form-2
See you then!
Thank you West Coast Riders for the team help setting up the course, registration and tear down at Plaster Creek Park. I think today was our coldest race so far this season. We had about a 1/2″ of snow on the ground in Rockford but by the time I got to Grand Rapids it was gone, darn. Maybe next Sunday if were lucky. Today’s move ups include Michael Mihecich, Luke Stifler, Bruce Los, Dwight Denisiuk, Tom Beebem, Aric Dersham, Dan Korienek and Brian Neely.
Here it is, fill it out in advance if you’d like. Kisscross Reg Form-2
Moms in Tow will be present for the Plaster Creek Park race. Bundle up the little ones and let them race the Strider bikes on the mini cross course while Dad is taking on the big race!
We have secured a venue for the season finale in Holland. Window on the Water Front Park right behind Velo City Cycles!
Gales of November came rushing through Markin Glen yesterday but that didn’t keep the old faithful and tons of first timers from enjoying the cross racing. Spectators were out in force too, loud as ever.Might of had something to do with the 2 kegs of beer near the sandbox and yes the Bell’s ran out first. Kazoo cross racers love their Two Hearted.
This weeks move up include: Tom Barrett, Jake Grevenstuk, Jesse Riegle, Russ Greenwood, George Swanzy, Eric Winler, Sean Kennedy, Greg Vosters, Art Schneidt, Grant Kasten, Andy Klumb.
The Tricats and Pedal Bikes are the race hosts/sponsors this Sunday and they will be providing 200 brats and a keg each of Bells Two Hearted and Founders Centennial IPA. First keg empty declares the cross racers favorite! Weather looks fantastic and the course is not to be missed.
This Sunday looks like an Indian Summer kind of day! 66 degrees for November cross? Crazy.
Markin Glen costs $5 for parking, we will cover that for you just print a copy of the parking pass and hand it to the gate attendant.
Also, here is the registration form for Markin Glen, don’t forget everyone needs to fill this out and you need two of them if you are racing twice.
